       Animals are sentient beings and the way we treat them reflects upon ourselves as humans.

    Those keeping rare breed animals amongst others tend to have a care for them. Those keeping commonly available animals  also care for them and then there are some humans who treat “their” animals with cruelty and disdain.  I am sure you know what I mean.

Raising awareness of animal welfare standards , teaching the children to respect life and having empathy for our fellow human beings and the animals  helps.

The  owner of the animals in the trailer video  below “Rare Breed Haven” and  the video “Animal Feelings”  ( not shown here)  is a  long term member of the RSBT, Rare Breed Survival Trust. Her 2 ponies are rare breed Exmoors  aged 18 and 19 and are pictured below. The sheep in the video clip  are North Ronaldsays .
